Running a marathon better requires evolutionary passion fueled by imagination of good outcome out of it. It's the mind processing of the action that makes the hobby change from merely something you like into a passion.
As people and creative creatures, we have different kinds of hobbies. We like things which we can do with quality and precision. The hobbies may range from arts, sports, music, business, science, to math and so on.
Nurturing passion requires a thinking process which allows the mind to generate new ideas. The ideas form a creative framework of the things we like.
Imagination and Passion
Passion is a powerful driving force which surpasses senses of feelings. Creativity is an attribute of imagination which is the base of innovation and evolutionary process of progress. Uniqueness and progress in life are a result of passion and imagination.
Imagination fuels our passions to evolve. Deepening commitment and exploring new approach results from imagining new possiblities and challenges of the future.
According to Nicolas Malebranche (1638–1715), a French philosopher; Imagination, senses and passion are important for survival and satisfaction of body's needs, rather than truth or the good of the mind. When the body is limited in terms of it's senses and needs, imaginative thoughts gives it the boost of energy to evolve and carry on even better.
Meaningful pursuits which lead to career changes and new hobbies are a natural evolution of passion. They give new experience and self-awareness.
In this world different people have different passions. Some like music, art, writing, sports, travelling and so on. The things we are passionate about inspire us to enrich our lives with creativity. Inner thoughts can act as a stimuli which leads to imaginative breakthroughs.
Imagination is a powerful catalyst in the evolution of passion
Imaginative breakthroughs enables the achievement of goals and tackling challenges to our passions. It's a mental rehearsal that strengthens imagination and it connects us to our pursuits. Imagination contributes to the evolution of passion in many ways:
- Expanding Horizons: Imagination allows us to visualize possibilities beyond our immediate reality. This often leads to the discovery of new interests or deeper connections to existing ones.
- Fostering Creativity: Passion thrives in creative environments, and imagination fuels creativity. It helps us think outside the box, refine ideas, and innovate, keeping our passions fresh and dynamic.
- Setting Aspirations: With imagination, we can dream big and set ambitious goals for ourselves. These aspirations often become the driving force behind the growth of our passions.
- Building Resilience: When challenges arise, imagination provides alternative solutions or motivates us to persevere. It allows us to envision success despite setbacks, helping passion endure over time.
- Creating Emotional Engagement: Imagination enhances the emotional experience of our passions. For instance, an artist's imaginative visions deepen their connection to their craft, amplifying their dedication.
Ultimately, imagination is like the engine of passion—it keeps it evolving, adapting, and thriving in new and exciting ways. Try things that intrigue you, even if they're unrelated to your current passions.
